People need to think more about honesty in language.
Whats wrong with describing people the way they are?
Yesterday, there was a portly, white-haired gentleman looking around the plant, so I ask one of my co-workers, "Say, who's that old fat guy?" To which I was replied, "*GASP*, don't call him fat!"

Why?

Why shouldn't I call him fat? He was definately not skinny. Hell, I'll be the first to admit I'm fat. Nothing wrong with it. Its a simple fact. He was fat, and, judging by his white hair and wrinkled face, he was old. Though I guess he could have been an albino that just got out of the tub. Perhaps thats why he was walking around the plant aimlessly... he was looking for a towel. Odds?
I would have called him ugly too, but thats arbitrary. Ugly is opinion; fat is fact.
