The headache is back.
This has a twofold meaning. For those of you who don't know, I started getting a painful, painful migraine on Saturday night, right behind my eyes. It hurt just to move them. It got worse Sunday, ended up laying down with a fever Sunday night, even though we had good food and company. Went to the doctor on Monday, she gave me a couple sample packs of migraine meds, said if that didn't work to take a Lortab 5 after work, and come back and see her if it didn't clear up in a day or 2. By Tuesday night it was completely gone. Today is Wednesday, and I can feel it coming back. And this was before I even knew that there was water in my basement. Again.
Which is the second meaning. It rained hard yesterday and last night, and so I woke up to a small lake in my basement this morning. And Tony and Sherrie are supposed to arrive tonight/tomorrow morning and stay with us. They were going to be sleeping in the basement, but they can't stay down there with it being that wet and humid; they'll get sick. I'll probably start a small fire in the wood stove to dry it out, but I don't know if that will help things other than take the chill off.
That old expression is so true: When it rains, it pours.
