Yes yes, I know. It's been too long since I've posted something. I'm going to update anyone that cares on my status, and then maybe go off on a tangent about some other stuff.

I got cleared to go back to work, finally. I start again on Tuesday, what with the holiday weekend. Mixed feelings on that. While its great that I can finally go back to supporting my family, I still really loathe my job. Love the people, hate the work. I'm thinking about quitting and either finding something new, or maybe going to school for something I might enjoy. More on that later.

Monica's got herself a job working at Splash Country, the water park division of Dollywood. She likes the job pretty well, except for the fact that she has to work with my mother on the weekends. I feel for her. Tony's been doing great at his job. He started management training and is well respected.

I've been stressing over my work situation. I don't really want to work for Nashua. There isn't a whole lot of room for advancement, unless you have office skills or previous experience. It gets so monotonous... I think that's what set off my panic attack that time, which eventually led to me taking leave in this case. Only thing that has kept me there this long is that its about the highest paying job in the area I can get (about $12.50/hr.), and the good benefits. I don;t know what I'd have done without the medical coverage I have. But, the job makes me miserable. Oh, it may not the first few days I'm back, but I know I'll hit the routine again once I'm back for a couple of weeks. Just like last time.

I can only see two alternatives for myself: Getting a different, likely lower-paying job I like better, or going to the local community college and trying to get a degree in something I enjoy. I was thinking of culinary arts, something computer-related, or music, probably voice lessons. I can't do much with voice lessons, but I love to sing. Might take that on the side. Get a part-time job on the side to keep the family fed.

Either way, its going to make times a little tough for us, with less money coming into the house. But at least either way, I'll be earning a paycheck. Now if I could just figure out which to do...
