Life is bittersweet...

Holy FUCK. Things are crazy. Tony and I finally got jobs around the beginning of Feb with a security company. Our first post is at a major discount retailer, guarding a fire door while they undergo remodeling. It is THE most boring job I/we've ever had. But we stuck it out and now the firm is negotiating a new contract with the client once the remodel is over. And if that doesn't work out, there's another post closer to home that we can take. Plus Tony has a good chance of getting a supervisory position after this, considering his background.

I've decided to write a story in my spare time at work. Yes, I have a lot. It is a fantasy story based in the Forgotten Realms, with the major characters based on Monica, Tony, Sher, and me. I've just about finished the basic storyline, but there's a huge amount still to be done.

My state apps. and tests have finally come to fruition. On Monday I'm getting hired at a youth detention center nearby as a Children's Services Officer (CSO). It pays pretty well, and I get state benefits.

Other things aren't going so well.

Monica and Tony got into a huge fight Thursday while I was at work. It started as something small, and then grew into every little irritation they've felt since Tony and Sherrie moved in. The end result is that Tony and Sher are going to move out. Whether it be back to PA. or stay local is still up in the air, but I think they are leaning toward local. Tony's mom is going to give them a car and make them the offer they had before, getting them an apartment and maybe paying for Tony to go to school.

I wish there was something I could do. I know there's nothing I can do to convince Tony to stay. I just wish I could have made it work out. But Tony and Moni are too alike, have too strong wills, to be able to remain in the same space anymore.

This puts Monica and I back where we were before Tony and Sher moved down. I'm not being selfish when I say that, just a matter of fact. I'll be working second shift at the detention center, and Monica will be going to school full-time... I guess I can ask my mom to watch James a few days a week like she used to. Besides, James likes going to her house. Maybe its a blessing in disguise for all of us. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I'm going to go smoke and cry now.
