You know, no matter how hard to try and keep a house clean, it never stays that way if you have kids. I have been picking up and picking up all day, and every time I turn around, its a mess again. I've come to the conclusion that if a house is to stay clean, it must be uninhabited. I really wish I had a micro-cassette recorder to narrate my thoughts into and re-type them again when I have time to blog. I'm asking for one for my birthday, if I can wait that long. Oh well, its about time for work, my moms late (again). its 3:07 and she's not here yet. Hope I don't have to run astra tonight, it kills my back. :P

Well, here it is, my first blog. I am so upset right now. The boys were playing in their room together, sounding like they were getting along just great, for once. Then Thomas come out a bit later, covered from shirt to pants in whie powder. OMG! I tell him to back into his room and follow him there. I opened the door.... I was speechless. There was baby powder EVERYWHERE, from the floor and everything on it to the furniture and laundry. Needless to say, Thomas got spanked, and amusingly, complained that it hurt... lol. I told him, it was SUPPOSED to. I was beside myself. I had no idea what to do... how do you clean a room covered in dust? Well, after picking up some things and shaking them out, I put all the covered laundry in the basket; these I think may be ok if the just hang out on the line in the breeze. Now please imagine the boys room floor. Typical of most young childrens rooms, it was littered with toys and dirty (and probably some clean) clothes. I started to do my best to shake everything out and keep the powder in one place. OF cousre then I had forgotten that James had left he bedroom. Intrepid as he is, he climbed ove the back of the couch and got into the kitchen, where he proceeded to pour the contents of Thomas's juice glass on the table, soaking everything nearby. As soon as I heard the crash I came and got James, changed his diaper and put him in the high chair for some lunch, which consisted of dry cereal (Strrawberry Special K), raisins, and some juice. Then I broke out the vacuum and went to work with it. Slightly into it I realized that this was not going to work completely, so i had to go find the mop bucket, put the mophead back on the mop, and get to mopping, after which I took a damp cloth and wiped down everything I cold find with powder on it. All in all, it took me about 2 and a half hours to clean... and I still have to get the stuff that floated into the living room, but that wont be nearly as long. Plus now I believe I took a bunch of powder up the nose, or I'm allergic to something in it, because i have gotten very dizzy and sneezy. So I won't be going to work today.
