Sized for airplane travel?
So I was just getting dressed for work, putting on my deodorant, when I noticed the writing on the cap. It says, "Sized for airplane travel", and has a depiction on an airplane on it. Is this really a selling point? They are going to sell more product because of this branding?
Are there really people out there that buy deodorant just for travel purposes? They don't just take along whatever deodorant they were already using? I mean, I know that this type I have now is a smaller size than "normal", but is that an issue while traveling? "Gee, I hope my deodorant is small enough to fit in my suitcase! I'd hate to have to leave out a pair of socks."
I suppose there ARE people who have to fly at a moments notice, and keep a small suitcase ready with all the necessities. This I can understand. That seems more like a niche market to me, than a more broad range of consumers.
And why airplane travel? Is it not the right size to take on a bus trip? I suppose not, you might need more if you are crammed on a bus next to 50 other sweaty strangers. What about a train? Meh... who travels by train anymore? What about a long car trip? Are there special sizes for different modes of transportation?
These are the kinds of thoughts that make me late for work.
