Forgot to mention yesterday... about my mom and her being late. She called me back right after I talked to my dad; she had a terrific suggestion: lock Thomas in the bedroom with James; she'd be right over. Yeah, I'm going to lock my children in their bedroom and leave the friggen house. Is she insane?! God, I really hope she didn't do shit like that to me when I was that young... I don't recall anything like that, but I was fairly ignorant when I was little. Hell, I'm still ignorant to this day.

Man, payday sucks when you know you aren't going to get paid. On another work-related note, my shift had a meeting with the new plant manager yesterday. Seems like he's going to be a hard-ass. Which is actually what this company needs. Alot of people don't seem to like him, but I think its because he's cracking down on what alot of people have been taking for granted. Like... not working. And smoking. It seems that some people have been taping over the button that opens the security door from the inside so they can get back in without using their keycard. And then leaving the tape on the button after they come back in. D'oh. If you are going to be sneaky, remember to remove the evidence, at least... jeez. And now if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to see if we have any chicken noodle soup or somesuch.

Ok, I haven't blogged in a while. Sorry about that.

Went back to work on Monday. Yippee. You know its funny; the more things change, the more they stay the same. For example, they had security keycard locks installed on the doors at work. Why, I don't know. But its a system that logs who uses what door, or at least, when a door is opened, in the case of leaving the building. And people still manage to sneak out and smoke. I've been put on the most boring job in there, pushing Wal-Mart rolls into an automatic bagger. Wooo. The floor is full of work, but they are only running a few slitters, at least on my shift. Wanna know why? Turns out that we are short on packers. Wanna know why? THEY LAID THEM OFF. From what I understand, it had something to do with they employee//income ratio. Apparantly, we had too many employees for the money we are making. Makes sense right? Heh.

Oh, I didn't mention what happened before work. Yeah. Well, my mother was supposed to come down and watch the boys so I could leave. I called her about 12:30. She said fine, she'd leave her house around 2:30. Its around a 20 minute drive. I told her, I had to leave by 3. So... 3 o'clock rolls around. She's not here. I call her house. Dad answers. My hope perks, thinking maybe she's just late and will be here any minute. no such luck. She forgot. Yup. Even my dad was pissed. And I was pissed even more, because this happened the last 2 times I asked her to watch the boys so I could go to work. Well, she didn't foget then, she was late. But I still lost money, and it goes on your record, and they have been being VERY stricy at work about discipling people about lateness and absenteeism. (Is that a word?) And the last thing I need is to get canned because of something outside of my control. Oh well, gotta finish cleaning.
